About me

I’m afraid you wont find in this About Me section any big ass claims, essays, insights or sorry sob stories. I know I should “Stack my credibility” as the self proclaimed Guru’s will argue.

Cant be bothered right now – it is what it is.

So I wont telll you about my million dollar launches and the 30,000 prospects on my email lists. Thats because they havent happened and dont exist.

For one of my sites I have about 46k regular users and registered members, but have never ever emailed them with an offer. Should I? Probably!

Maybe, in a years time, I will be able to share with you my successes and secrets – but I’ve got a long road to travel.

No place like home

I live in the South West of the United Kingdom, with my wife and 3 kids. Life is great when I am here, but the Day Job requires me to be away more than i would like (** resisting a moan **).

So weekends are dedicated to the family and seeing as many of our friends as we can fit in between the Rugby, Swimming, Break dancing, and shopping.

The wonders of the interwebs

Can you remember the first day you experienced the internet and the world wide web? Are you, like me, from the BBS generation with 16k dialup modems?

I traveled 4 hours to Amsterdam to buy myself 16k memory to upgrade my ZX Spectrum to 48k. Not just for the games, but also to allow me to write bigger software applications.

In 2001 I started my first venture into websites, and build (* as in coded html & php *) a web community that still goes strong today with 46k unique visitors every month, and 49k registered members. Dont think it brings me any significant income though – with hosting cost of about $100 a month, and around $300 adsense income per month, it is just enough for beer money and feeding my gadget addiction.

Ditching the Dayjob

So earlier this year (August to be exact) I started looking at how I can build up my online income to Ditch the Dayjob. There is no better place to start than the Thirty Day Challenge, by Ed Dale and crew.

I managed to do 1 project following the 30dc method, making a royal $10.12 from Amazon commissions ;)

Sence of failure?

No way – I put in very little effort and decided that a 4 week holiday in France without internet during August was a higher priority!

I also learned a valuable lesson, and give you one BIG recommendation:

Follow through and Execution are the Secret to online success!

So with a new decade, a new set of goals and objectives.
